Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keefektifan dan kevalidan bahan ajar berbasis Realistic Mathematis Education (RME) terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas V di salah satu sekolah dasar di kota Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) terhadap hasil belajar matematika ditinjau dari motivasi belajar matematika peserta didik. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan model 4D meliputi: Define/analisis (2) perancangan (design), (3) pengembangan (development), Subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas V SD di Medan. Praktisnya bahan ajar dilihat dari isi dan tujuan yang jelas, mudah dibaca, tampilan menarik dan dapat meningkatkan daya tarik/minat peserta didik untuk belajar. Validitas dan Keefektifan bahan ajar dilihat dari meningkatnya hasil belajar peserta didik dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar 96%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahan ajar kecepatan menggunakan pendekatan realistic mathematic education (RME) dapatdikembangkan untuk Peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif.
