The importance of collaboration between the government and the community during the decision-making process in the public service sector using collaborative methods. The implementation of this collaboration is considered an effective strategy in order to improve public services as desired by the community. For this reason, the government needs to collaborate with the community in making public service policy decisions. By using the literature study method, this study obtained the result that collaboration is a form of innovation that has the same understanding between the parties involved. This same understanding can be in the form of vision, mission, and goals. Although there are still many challenges that need to be faced, most of them are that this government-community collaboration project has provided positive results and improved more effective public services.
